I recently wrote about how I have switched from Outlook to Gmail. I am still using Gmail, but have started second thinking my decision since reading about how many people have had their accounts locked by Google for no apparent reason.
Many Gmail users have been met with a screen while trying to log into their accounts that their email account has been locked because of strange activity. Google will not specify what the strange or unusual activity is. The locked out user will then try and contact Google to get their account unlock. Most of the time the user is sent an email to their secondary email account that there is nothing Google can do to unlock the account. After the frustration of trying to contact Google and waiting for the unlocking of the account, many users will give up and go on to another email account or start a new Gmail account.
Currently there is nothing to be done. As a Gmail user myself, it worries me that something could happen to my account and there is nothing that can be done. What course does anyone have to get a free account reactivated?
