A while back I picked up a Gerber Suspension Multitool. When I purchased the tool, I thought it was nice, but as time went by I, my opinion started to change. In the time I got my Gerber, I have bought a Leatherman Wave and a Victorinox Swisstool RS. Once you have both of these much better tools, you will understand why the Suspension is just not up to level by any stretch.
I have used my Gerber Multitool a little over the last couple of years. No task was all that great, so it never did receive a real workout. I relegated the tool to my truck once I got my Leatherman and it has stayed there waiting for something to do to help. While in my truck it has started to rust ever so slightly. I was very surprised because I had thought the metal was some sort of a stainless steel. None of the tools are really that impressive. The pliers are by far the best tool on this multitool. Both knives on the tool are a joke, the scissors are horrible, the screw drivers do not work well at all. I would not consider purchasing this tool again.
With so many other choices on the market, there is no reason to limit yourself to such a bad tool. A Leatherman Wave is a little more expensive and will by far out perform and last you much longer than the suspension. If you don’t want to take my word for it, please do a search on Google on reviews of the Suspension.

What a great looking design. I’m dissappointed to hear that it doesn’t function very well. But it’s cheap enough that I might just pick one up to see for myself.
I would really advise you not to get one. Put the extra money toward a Leatherman Wave or Swisstool Spirit. They are made much better and will serve you well in comparison.
