I am hearing that the new Blackberry Niagara 9630 may not be released for a while. This is very sad to me and many others. I hope the news is incorrect.
If I hear anything else, I will post it immediately.

I know. I heard May as well. Perhaps it will come sooner than October as they are claiming now. I currently hoping for a late May early June release. That would be great.
I am in the same boat. The Curve is a great phone, but it’s getting old. If I get the Curve and then the Niagara comes out right after I sign, what do I have? A nice phone that is on it’s way out.
The Storm is out of the question for me since I can’t stand touch screens. Even if the iPhone comes to Verizon like they are saying now, I won’t get it. Just not interested.
What to do, what to do?
Yeah – that would suck. I’ve been tracking this thing for 2 months basically waiting to trade my iphone in for it. I need a blackberry but want the latest technology. I don’t want to wait forever – originally I heard this was being released in May.
I spoke with a Verizon rep about 2 weeks ago and she stated a June release but they rarely know the actual timing. I hate to sign up for a curve then 2 months later the Niagra drops.
Yeah, it’s thirty days. Like you said, it’s a gamble. I have thought many times of doing just that. The worst that would happen is that you have to take the Curve back and go to your older phone until the Niagara or Tour comes out.
I think I will wait. I have a Motorola Razr Maxx VE that has been good to me for the last two years. I can stay with it a little bit longer.
I am just keeping my hopes up that the date will be sooner rather than later.
Write back when you find out what your Verizon contact says.
I have the iphone and it’s nice but just still not there for business. How long can you test drive a phone at Verizon? If its 30 days – we could take the gamble and use the curve then turn it in when the Niagara drops. BIG GAMBLE though. I messed around with a co-worker’s Storm….not for me. I don’t like the click screen and have my doubts about the durability over time. I’m going to call my contact at Verizon to see if there are any updates. I’ll keep ya posted.
