Chrome is fast. I mean really fast. To me, it seems 2 to 3 times faster than other browser. Rendering pages seems faster along with starting up the browser from a cold boot. This speed definitely translates into a nicer browsing experience. Tabs are separated into different processes on the computer. This is perhaps one of the most important features that most people do not talked about. With separate processes, Chrome becomes multithreaded. The processes can use different cores while running. This feature can translate into a much more efficient browser. Chrome even took the step of including task manager within the browser. Just hit Shift + Esc and a task manager showing all processes (or tabs) Google Chrome is currently running. This is such a cool features to have implemented. Other browsers need to implement this.

Security seems to be top notch within the Google Chrome browser. LifeHacker has an article about how the browser faired against others in security. You can read about the conference at http://lifehacker.com/5177709/chrome-the-only-browser-standing-in-pwn2own-contest.

When you are presented with a browser that is not only fast, but very secure at the same time, it’s hard to beat it. Chrome does not have the add-ons that Firefox has, but that may change rapidly as Google starts promoting add-ons to developers. Chrome will have a version for Linux soon. This may be the last real road block to full adoption.

Time will tell with the browser, but for now I will start using Chrome until something gives me a reason not to.
