The iHome iPod Clock Radio is a terrific unit for someone looking for a new clock radio. The iHome will charge your iPod while docked. Some other features include: play your iPod, wake to your iPod, FM/AM Radio, Alarm and a remote for skipping sons and changing volume. One problem with the iHome is the display. The backlight never gets quite low enough for me. The newer model of the iHome has more options and seems to do a better job.

Sound quality is good for a small unit like this and considering a price of around $80 – $100, one can not complain. This is not going to sound like a Bose Sounddock, but should be sufficient for almost everyone. I listen to a broad array of music and it sound good. The bass is surprisingly good for something this size.

If I were to need another clock radio to replace this one, I would purchase another iHome in a second. There is nothing else on the market that can compete on sound quality, feature set and price. If Bose were to ever introduce a clock radio with an iPod dock, I would certainly have to consider it, but until that time, my iHome will do me fine.
