I just received one of these recorders. I have to say that so far I’m impressed. The drive is very small and thin making it easy to throw in a bag with your laptop. Hook up was incredibly easy since there is only a USB and power cord to connect. After the connections are made, just install Nero and it’s set and you are ready to record on CDs or DVDs. As a quick test, I copied some files to a CD. The drive performed the entire burn process quickly and my CD was ready within just a couple of minutes.
If you have a laptop or other computer that needs a DVD Recorder and has a free USB 2.0 port, this is a great drive to get. At only 8x DVD recording, it’s not as fast as other drives, but the portability will out weight the speed limitation.
